Safe cycling lanes, where cyclists can reach their destinations in a fast and safe way, are an important aspect to motivate people to use their bikes more often.
This was the most important reason for the city of Rijswijk to redesign the Delftweg and turn it into a dedicated lane for cyclists.
This road is part of the long cycling track between Delft, Rijswijk, The Hague and Voorburg.
At the Gorinchemgracht in Almere a specially designed cycling lane was designed. Dura Vermeer carried out this project; a road where the safety of cyclists is very important and cars are ‘guests’.
