The Spaarndammerdijk in Spaarndam, located between Zijkanaal C and Spaarndammerweg/Batterijweg, underwent significant improvements due to its poor condition, which posed potential hazards to traffic.
In March 2022, the road surface received a complete upgrade, utilizing a combination of red and black asphalt applied simultaneously. The outcome: a 4km stretch of road that is both safe and seamlessly constructed!
The asphalt for this project was supplied by AsfaltNu Amsterdam I, and it consisted of a mixture of black bitumen, red crushed stone, and 5% Ferrotone red 410AG. Heijmans successfully executed the project.
